Community Room

The Community Room offers a flexible space and meeting facility for clubs and commercial events. The mid-size room is ideal for smaller gatherings and workshops seating up to 20 people. The windows allow natural light to make the bright room to feel very spacious. A lower than normal ceiling in the room gives it a very cosy feeling but it may be restrictive for some fitness activities.

The adaptable lounge seating is ideal for leisure groups such as a mother and toddler and we have more formal seating for workshops.

Description

Room size is approx 6m-5m, 28m² and we would suggest a maximum capacity for 20 people. Facilities include,

• Sink with Hot and cold water
• Chairs (17)
• Lounge seats (7)
• Whiteboard (wall mounted)
• 5 power points
• Wireless Network on Request

Hours

The Community Room is available during the normal opening hours of the store.
Mon – Wed 09:30 – 18:00
Thursday 09:30 - 20:00
Fri – Sat 09:30 - 18:00

Charges

Charges for commercial events are varied depending on the time and number of people attending.It is recommended at all classes and events require pre-registration as space is limited. Use of the Community Room is free of charge for non-profit organizations or special events but we do ask for a donation towards the cost of running the room. Please email for more information about rental charges.

Accessibility

The room is on first floor so access by wheelchair is not possible. Buggies and prams can be left downstairs during your visit to the Community Room.

Please Note

• Absolutely British ask that food or drinks not be brought in from outside. We have a wide selection of products available for purchased on the premises.
• Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted in meeting room provided you clean up afterwards.
• Use of the conference room does not include the use of the kitchen, telephones, or other equipment or facilities in the building, except for the toilets, unless special arrangements are made at the time of the reservation.
• We cannot store or hold equipment, supplies or other items for room rental customers prior to or between reservations.
• We cannot accept equipment or supplies mailed to the store unless prior approval is obtained. Approval will be considered on a case by case basis.

The Mother and Toddler group will restart again on Wednesday 1st September with a new time of 10.00-12.00.
